You know what to do.

You just don't start.

Dump the whole mess in. Ask YapDo what to do next. Do that. See what you actually got done.

Free. Type one thing that's stuck. Or just hit the mic.

Sound familiar?

Your brain won't start.

The list is there. You know what's on it. You still can't pick. So you open the phone, just for a second, and three hours leave.

It isn't that you have too much to do. It's that picking feels impossible, so nothing starts, and tomorrow-you is already mad.

End the day able to name what you did. Not another untouched list. A receipt.

How YapDo works

Put it in. Ask what's next. See what you got done.

That's the whole app. No system to maintain.

Step 1

Put everything in

Yap it, type it, dump the 40 tabs in your head. YapDo catches it. You don't organize it first.

Listening...

“...and I still need to book flights for December, plus that report is due Thursday...”

Got it, added 2 tasks. Flights first, it's time-sensitive. Keep going.

Step 2

Ask what's next

One answer. Not a new framework. The start button your brain is missing.

See pricing

ok so... taxes, mom's birthday gift, that deck for Thursday, and I really need to start working out again

Added 4 tasks to your plan2.5s

Done! Taxes and the Thursday deck are the time-sensitive ones, so start there. Want me to break the deck down into steps?

Step 3

See what you got done

Check it off. At the end of the day you get a receipt, including the stuff you never planned. The feed was faking this feeling. This is the real one.

  • #1Write the App Store listing
  • #2Email 5 beta testers

Social proof

You'll know it's working when

  • you dumped the list instead of staring at it
  • you asked "what should I do next" and actually did the one thing
  • 9pm-you can name what got done, even if the list still has leftovers
Jeff Do, founder of YapDo

Hey, it's Jeff. I built YapDo because I get stuck too.

I know what I want to do. I still stall at the starting line. The list gets long, my brain refuses to pick, and the phone is right there.

Saying the mess out loud, then doing the next thing, was the only loop that survived. So I built YapDo around that: capture, ask, review. Not another system. An answer to “what should I do now?”

If you're stuck, that's who this is for. Feedback and hellos welcome.

Put one stuck thing in.

Ask what's next. Do it. Come back tonight and see the receipt.
